Garden hideaway bar coming to 16th Street will welcome dogs, families
Tap Yard will be a neighborhood bar and beer garden near the Cargo District, at 502 S. 16th St. It will serve only North Carolina beers on tap and be fully ABC permitted, with seasonal signature craft cocktails, including a Manhattan served with a Southern touch.

Zack Medford has been in the Raleigh nightlife scene for more than a decade, opening bars like Isaac Hunter's Tavern in his 20s, as well as Coglin's, Parliament and Paddy O'Beers. Within the first year of the pandemic, he had closed or sold them all.
Comeback Kid
You may have thought you’d seen the last of hospitality titan and Isaac Hunter’s Hospitality President Zack Medford (think Coglin’s, Isaac Hunter’s Tavern, Parliament and Paddy O’Beers), but, while he’s certainly remained quiet over the past couple of years, he’s been celebrating the birth of the uberpopular Coglin’s Wilmington location — and quietly planning his comeback in Raleigh.
